Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with many publications and many grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous national and global prizes. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to child victims of the legal system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
